Der Zug fährt obgleich fehlender NJ-Wagen trotzdem wohl betrieblich mit der Zugnr. 237 und mit Newrest-Zugführer nach Salzburg. Ich habe mir diesmal ein START-Night-Angebot geschossen, was nur 10€ teurer als ein Interrail-Aufpreis gewesen wäre. Das lässt sich sogar in der MÁV-App anzeigen, worauf der Betreuer am Bahnsteig jedoch mit leichter Panik in der Stimme fragt, ob ich nichts ausgedrucktes hätte? Aber klar doch, darauf bin ich vorbereitet. Gebucht bin ich im Single nach Győr. #BajaBlast

Der ehemalige Vier-Destinationen-Nachtzug ist auf derer zwei zusammengeschrumpft: Zagreb (via Graz) und Budapest. Rijeka ist weggefallen, und der Venezianische Zugteil dank Tauernsperre auch. Bleiben noch 6 Wagen, nach Kroatien heute 2x Sitzwagen und 1x Schlafwagen, nach Budapest je 1x Sitz-, Liege und Schlafwagen. Ich nehme traditionell im letzten bereitgestellten Wagen Platz, das ist der ungarische Schlafwagen. #BajaBlast

Von Rödelheim schnell zurück nach Frankfurt Hbf, und schnellstmöglich weiter nach Stuttgart, ehe noch mehr schiefgeht heute... Personen im Gleis zwischen Kassel und Göttingen, brennender Güterzug in Linz(Rhein), Kabelbrand in Rastatt, und der 723 direkt hinter uns eben hatte wohl einen Schleifleistenbruch auf der KRM. Ich habe mir im 579 noch einen Sitzplatz geangelt. #BajaBlast

Mal wieder ein Streckenstück in Deutschland mitnehmen: Die VzG 3613 nach Rödelheim fehlt mir nämlich noch in der Sammlung. Das ist auch gleichzeitig meine, wenn auch kurze, Wasserstoff-Premiere. Sind schon ziemlich laut, die Kisten. #BajaBlast

So, over the weekend I was in Pennsylvania with the family at an amusement park. That's when I noticed that Hard Mountain Dew was available in PA, but not in my home state of Maryland.

So, I picked myself up a 20 ounce can of Hard Mountain Dew and one of Hard Baja Blast to try out. Let me tell you...it certainly is Hard Mountain Dew.

No, seriously. It tastes like Mountain Dew with a slight alcohol flavor and a bit of that malt beverage aftertaste you get from a Mike's Hard Lemonade or a Smirnoff Ice. The Baja Blast, specifically, tasted even more just like a Baja Blast and had less of an aftertaste than the original Hard Mountain Dew.

Overall, I liked them. Do plan to get again next time I travel through PA.

It's springtime again and we've got two new Mountain Dew Baja variants for our drinking pleasure.

I mean, I had to try them both. I love me some Mountain Dew.

First, we tried Mountain Dew Baja Point Break Punch. Think of what would happen if you took Kool Aid Tropical Punch and transformed it into a Mountain Dew variant. That's what this tastes like. It's slightly bubble Tropical Punch. Personally, I liked it. So did all of my kids, which is good cause my wife also got us a case of the cans later.

The second is Baja Laguna Lemonade. It's a Dew infused mango lemonade flavor. You can definitely taste some of the mango with a classic Dew aftertaste. Personally, this was the one I liked better, but that's just me.

So, overall - I liked BOTH Baja variants this year, which is great!

So, as I had posted before, my parents got me a number of Ryse Fuel energy drinks to try for my #birthday. Let's plow through three more of them!

First, we have Baja Burst. It's called "twisted lime" in terms of what flavor it is. For me, think #BajaBlast, but better. Yes, I said it. It has a similar taste, but something about it I just enjoy more than Baja Blast. Shocked me too.

The second is Ring Pop. You know that generic "berry" flavor that candies have. It's a non-descript berry, it could be any of them if someone told you that it was a specific berry. That's what this tastes like. Which, I suppose, is fitting for a Ring Pop flavored energy drink.

The third is Tiger's Blood. It's a watermelon, strawberry, and coconut flavored energy drink. I genuinely liked this one. A lot. The coconut was subtle flavor-wise, even if my kids all said they smelled coconut the moment I opened it. I don't know, I liked it, though.
