@cwebber @spritely In other contexts I've called this a "social proximity network", to contrast it with the physical/topological proximity metric of computer networks. The topology grows and changes to mimic the evolution of the social network it's facilitating, and "connect everything to everything" is an anti-goal, unlike the internet and incumbent social networks.
