@afewbugs excellent. I love this. One of these days I'm going to build a really sophisticated hay box from ply and insulation. We're still using the cast iron casserole pot on top of the multi fuel stove - it has to be on 24/7 anyway to heat the boat so it might as well cook our dinners at the same time. A hay box extends the time to the rest of the year when the stove is never on (April through November).
@afewbugs I don’t know if I should say “darn you! That’s a rabbit hole I don’t need today!” Or “how have I not know about this before? Thank you!”
Either way… down we go, learning about hay boxes
@ironcladlou it's an excellent rabbit hole that I highly recommend! Enjoy!
@afewbugs I did consider signing up. Good thing I didn’t as I wouldn’t have been able to attend today
@steve I didn't know you were round here! Love Food CIC is a great little organisation that does lots of cooking classes, but hopefully I'll be doing another Haybox one later in the year
@afewbugs I’m not on the doorstep but I did look and it wasn’t too far for a day trip by car. If I was organised enough I’d get the train and stay over the night before. I’ll keep a lookout for any future events you publish
@afewbugs awesome! I love my homemade wonderbag, such a good idea for a talk.
