As a writer following Nikole Hannah-Jones, I continue to find new things about her work to be impressed by. Today, it's the depth of her writing in the book and the way she ties together all the insights from the previous 17 essays in one, new, final essay unique to the book.

You might know about The 1619 project from any number of the various ways work has been published. To me, the most impressive one I've consumed, so far, is the book.
What you probably don't know, is that the book has new material only found in the book. I've spent close to a year reading, digesting, and sharing what I'm learning in the book and only just arrived at her new, final essay recently.

And this one is going slower than all the rest because I'm continually stopping to digest new insights, following references to read more about the stories, and reflecting and sharing.
You can only get Chapter 18: Justice in the book. If you want to know how much work is still needed, despite the fictional equality story we grew up on, get the book, read the book, share the book. If that sounds like too much work - please do it anyway.
