It's still dark so this photo is from a week ago. Fliss the Japanese quail turns 5 today. What a survivor. Her sister died a year ago. Fliss is still going strong! Occasionally she even lets me 'pat' her.

@dennyhenke She is indeed. Quite a character too: tells me off when dinner's late (though there's always plenty available in her food dish) and has only lately occasionally come close enough I can touch her with a fingertip before she dashes off. I didn't think she'd survive long alone but she's fine. 
@Miraz Aww! That's very sweet. It's been awhile since I had chickens and guineas but I so loved getting to know them. The chickens especially had particularly fun personalities, some being especially sweet or friendly.
