The writer of the #Higurashi series, Ryukishi07, is also the one writing for the upcoming #SilentHill F game - that's, again, HYPE!!!

This reminds me of being sooo excited for
#HideoKojima's Silent Hill where he was supposed to be working with #JunjiIto on the game, and the PT turned out to be fucking amazing (today, legendary), and... #Konami just decided to burn it all.

Idt this will happen again ofc, this has nothing to do w Kojima and he's far gone from Konami, but still. I am excited, but I'll keep it fresh in mind that Konami's shit.

If you know me, youd know of my addiction with survival horror games. Two of my most favourites game franchises are #SilentHill and #FatalFrame (amongst many others).

Silent Hill f is a mixture of those two, atleast from what Ive seen from the trailer. HOLY SHIT. All my favourite games growing up were made by Konami, and I am glad theyre returning Silent Hill back to its original roots. Whilst theres no Harry, Heather or James here, IM SOOOOOO HYPED

Silent Hill F certainly looks interesting. It's beautiful and eerie, and from that first trailer it does feel like like a Silent Hill game with some undeniable Fatal Frame vibes, which isn't a bad thing IMO. Curious to see how the whole taking place in Japan in the 1960s approach will play out, and how it ties to the Silent Hill mythos. Seeing Akira Yamaoka's name once again attached to a SH title, is definitely another plus.

Today is also the 26th anniversary of the first 'Silent Hill' game, released back in 1999, developed by Konami's Team Silent. It may have yet to receive the remake treatment that Silent Hill 2 has, but it is definitely remains a masterpiece in its own right that kickstarted the series that shaped and defined the survival horror genre.
