Shredd Tone :bh_s_k: :chk_g_w:Remember why I said that the look of those dots across the frets didn't matter as long as they feel comfortable to touch?That's because I am applying custom decals all over the frets that will be covering up all of those dots so no one can see them.When applying these decals in it's rightful order, it's best to cover up the frets with the dots first before applying everything else. This is because you may need to move the decals around to cover up the dots (like I was forced to do within the 12th fret) and then work your way around them. Shredd Tone :bh_s_k: :chk_g_w:Next...is to stain the fret board black.But first...an unusual approach: POURING LIGHTER FLUID ALL OVER THE FRETBOARD!No, I won't be setting it on fire, sorry to disappoint. This is just to dry out the frets to to make it "thirsty" so to speak.So now, once I rub in the black stains it will be easier for the wood to absorb it all and hold onto it's colour over time. DoomsdaysCWOh wow. So a RL friend commented on one of my recent social media posts, which showed my cat lying on a blanket with a lot of fuzzies. "That blanket is so worn-out!" she commented. Um, the blanket, though it has fuzzies, doesn't have any holes, is a great layering blanket, and I've had it since the 1970s. They don't make stuff like that anymore. I mean, 50 years -- no holes, still functional. What do people do when their blankets get fuzzed (or holes)? Throw them out? And yes -- I'll sew up a good blanket -- or socks -- or a rug. I'm trawling through websites and videos, searching for the correct model, of the hundreds produced and then dumped (nearly as bad as printers). One webpage says a Kindle should last 2-5 years before needing a replacement battery. Mine will be 12 years old next month.
