Viele von ihnen arbeiteten im Revier. Sie erfüllten Pläne und lieferten zuverlässig auch unter widrigen Bedingungen die Braunkohle in die Kraftwerke für die Energieversorgung der Republik.<br>

Layer after layer was removed. In the Lusatian mining district, 135 settlements were devastated. A total of 27,500 people lost their homes and farms here. Many of them worked in the mining district. They fulfilled plans and reliably delivered lignite to the power plants that supplied the country's energy, even under adverse conditions.<br>
