Marcus Jaschen<p>March 22th<br><br>Yesterday, I took the afternoon off and went on one of my two-hour routes. It's been a year since I last rode this particular route, and it was great to be back.<br><br>It's always amazing what you can discover along the way, even if you've passed by the same spot countless times.<br><br>This little waymarker stone was repainted at some point in the not-too-distant past. The marked routes were heavily used back when there were no cars, and people traveled solely on foot, by bicycle, or by carriage.<br><br><a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/gravelbike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gravelbike</span></a> <a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/cycling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Cycling</span></a> <a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/waymarker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Waymarker</span></a> <a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/stone" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Stone</span></a> <a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/history" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>History</span></a> <a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/dahmespreewald" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DahmeSpreewald</span></a> <a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/prieros" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Prieros</span></a> <a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/neubr%C3%BCck" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Neubrück</span></a> <a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/hammer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Hammer</span></a> <a href="https://social.marcusjaschen.com/tags/kleink%C3%B6ris" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KleinKöris</span></a><br><br>Location of this gem: <a href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=52.210743&amp;mlon=13.771030#map=17/52.210746/13.771030" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=52.210743&amp;mlon=13.771030#map=17/52.210746/13.771030</a></p>
Michael Evans/Mihangel Ifans<p>Two signposts: a modern one for the Wales Coast Path, next to a very old, weathered and indistinct wooden one which is partly overgrown with ivy and indicates Castell Llansteffan to the right and Llansteffan to the left. </p><p><a href="https://toot.wales/tags/FingerpostFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FingerpostFriday</span></a> <a href="https://toot.wales/tags/Arwyddbost" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Arwyddbost</span></a> <a href="https://toot.wales/tags/Signpost" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Signpost</span></a> <a href="https://toot.wales/tags/Waymarker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Waymarker</span></a></p>
