The Book of Kels<p>Quite proud of myself today. I finally overcame a hurdle and started a solo journaling RPG.</p><p>To be honest, it's the "journaling" part that really had me stuck, and created a mental block that kept me from ever going past the set up stage. But I found a good video that gave alternatives to writing out journal entries as you go along, and getting "permission" to do so really changed things for me.</p><p><a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/SoloRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SoloRPG</span></a> <a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpg</span></a></p>
Christer Enfors<p>This means that your character is fully dynamic, and you can do what you want with it - even more so in <a href="https://ttrpg-hangout.social/tags/SoloRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SoloRPG</span></a> play, where you aren't constrained by what the other players want to do. You can go off and join a monastery in the mountains and train to become a monk, or get yourself hired as a sailor-in-training, learning the required skills as you go!</p><p>Sure, this can be accomplished in class-based games too with multiclassing and the like, but not quite to the same extent.</p>
