I was using #Metatext for mastodon. Now it’s no longer available in my region ! Any suggestions of a good alternative?

I should look in my banked posts document for one that’s funny, but only Friday evening funny. Oh hey, this is it.

Does anyone know what happened to FediText? Mine just stopped working … and so did its older sibling Metatext.

I’ve been trying other apps and hoping FediText would start working again… but no luck so far.

Hey, Fediverse- can anyone tell me why when scrolling on my phone I get these random “Load More” gaps in my timeline that, when I click on them, seem to load and then skip over all those posts, taking me to another section in the feed, so I have to scroll backwards? These “load more” sections happen all the time and are annoying. #fediTips #metatext

So for the most part, my foray into #Friendica seems to be going well. There are two questions I have though.
First, is it not possible for people who aren't on Friendica, or even #Mastodon, to follow a Friendica profile even if they're not on the Fediverse?
Second, are there any #iOS fedi apps that actually work with Friendica? I tried to set #Metatext up with it, but I keep getting "The operation couldn't be completed." Is that a problem with Metatext or the server I'm on?

Is there at least one other #fediapp App on #iOS that actually works than the #mastodonapp ? I got no timeline update since hours on #IceCubesApp and #ivoryapp . had problems with #metatext and the two others with notifications as well #fedihelp

Feditext beta users: yesterday's version 1.7.2 build 129 includes fixes to our Spanish translation (contributed by <https://wetdry.world/@nelson>) and our Polish translation (contributed by <https://github.com/matpl11>).

Feditext beta users: today's version 1.7.2 build 126 now supports editing posts on GotoSocial 0.18 (already supported for most other Fedi servers).

since GtS 0.18 is still in development, this release is recommended for advanced GtS users only: you need to explicitly set a version like 0.18.0-dev while building GtS for Feditext to detect and enable 0.18 features.

users of current GtS or other servers don't need to update to today's Feditext release.

I’ve been using #Metatext as an app for #Mastodon since 2022. But lately I’ve been having lotsa of trouble with it.

I notice it’s been slow to load the last two weeks when I open it and then I move on to other things. I think it’s time to explore other options?

Anyone have a better rec for a Mastodon client? Which app do you use?

…hmm, looks like #metatext does not offer the option to choose the language for each post? So bear with me while i keep tooting in both Finnish and English!
