The Biden administration refused to supply these bulldozers because they were not informed of their exact intended use. The Trump administration waived the army's explanations, which mainly claimed that military bulldozers are needed for the 'war on terror': to clear areas dangerous to soldiers and to assist in dismantling booby-trapped buildings and explosive devices.</p><p>The Israeli military has a long-standing relationship with weaponized bulldozers, used since 1948 to displace Palestinians. The D-9 bulldozer, often used in the demolition of Palestinian homes, was notably involved in the death of activist Rachel Corrie in 2003. The film "No Other Land" documents the ongoing destruction of Palestinian communities in Masafer Yatta, showcasing the use of bulldozers in what is described as a systematic expulsion program.
