On the panel are only switches for pitot and windshield heat, both were on.Just this past week I learned there is a way to build a keyboard shortcut to turn ALL ice protection on, which turns on the X-plane version of a TKS weeping wing.Went up into -30C +precip WX, and it stayed flying.Problem solved.

Was inbound to KTVL (South Lake Tahoe Airport), I knew WX was nasty, but forgot to turn on probe and windshield heat. On extended final, started losing airspeed, and was at full throttle, flaps and gear down about 2NM from the numbers.The jet dropped out of the sky hard, right wing just fell away, and we ended up in the water.It was chilly.

Well, I have been having major stuttering issues, turns out it was the plane.Deleted that plane, and went back to Laminar Research's (makers of X-Plane) rock solid <a href="https://squawk.mytransponder.com/tags/Cirrus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Cirrus</a> SF50 Vision jet.
