🇨🇦🇩🇪🇨🇳张殿李🇨🇳🇩🇪🇨🇦My phone's camera app was updated with a new night mode, so I went out for a test of it tonight. I'm quite impressed, to be honest. I had difficulty making things out with my *eyes* that the camera had no troubles teasing out. In the first picture, for example, all the windows "bled" light in my vision like you can sort of see happening in the bottom right lit window. I could barely make out the tiles on the side of the building and the details in each tile (like the tree reflection at the right edge of the building) were invisible to me. The picture isn't perfect; the detail on the wall in the foreground is washed out completely for example. But it's better than I could have done without that app barring a lot of tricks with Photoshop and multiple exposures (using a tripod for stability) at different luminosity levels. Much easier this way. The second one, too, pulled detail that was invisible to my eyes, like the texturing of the concrete at the bottom of the roadway, or the fact that the speed limit sign was obviously changed from 50 to 70. (I genuinely didn't see that when looking at it!) I'm also very impressed with how the trees' lighting got balanced out instead of, as the old app would have done, washing out the trees to the right and sinking the trees to the left into a deep gloom. These are photographs taken straight out of my camera without any kind of retouching.
