Dutton’s record shows his skills to be in making inflammatory statements, deploying distraction to deflect from failures, dividing communities & cultivating suspicion, while talking with media figures who do not challenge him & avoiding those who do. Governance? Not so much. Never being called to account has made him complacent.

@feather1952 we know what Spud Dutton has to offer. He goes to Trump’s unhinged CPAC every year and he and his lackeys come back spouting crazy about communist teachers and curriculum, coal and gas anti-renewable rubbish, wanting to remove reproductive health care, spouting racist and anti-immigrant lies, and other culture war bullshit. He wants us to be like Trump’s America. Dawg help us. He can’t hide his fascist ideology.

We see him, the vile Nazi pig.

Get the Dick out of Dickson, Queensland.

All this angst from US Republican politicians, such as Ted Cruz, about the Trump tariffs is performative.

Their Congress delegated to their President the ability to set tariffs -- the only tax they have done this for -- and their Congress can simply legislate an end to that delegation. This might upset legislative arrangements from 1934, but time doesn't make a delegated power permanent.

I bloody love critical minerals. Almost no one knows what they are. No one knows exactly how much we have and could mine. And the value of the product is dependent on current materials manufacturing methods.

We really need better communication about critical minerals across the board. #insiders #auspol

Nuclear has already been modelled by dozens of specialist organisations and had been found to be MASSIVELY more expensive. The only economists who seem to find a nuclear plan that's "cheaper than all renewals" (which is no one's plan anyway), is a company that has been paid by the Liberal Party to generate that report, and might just be considered biased, let alone technically incorrect. And let's just be clear. We haven't seen it precisely because the technical inaccuracies will be discovered *as soon as it's released*. #insiders #auspol

Sky News Australia this morning clutching pearls over an ad depicting children upset about coalition policies that will further trash the climate. "Children are seeing psychologists because they are afraid their families will die!"

Yeah, well, they should be. But fear not, there's a decent chance we won't last long enough for your families to die from climate change. They might just be able to die in a world war first, the way things are going now. #auspol

When the fart-huffing anti-economic nonsense of Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng collided with reality in their short-lived “budget” of 2022, the results were at once laughable, pitiable, and politically terminal for them.

This TariffsGPT project feels to me like an equivalent moment for Trump and his couch-fort companions, who have spent the past 5 years complimenting one another on the volume and fragrance of their botty burps, only now to find out how little the rest of the world appreciates their stank.
