A good case for adding a Twitter-like tweet quoting feature is that sometimes there's some good toots out there which are worthy of attention, but unfortunately they're not very well crafted, or they would benefit from adding a CW.
If toot quoting was available, it would be easy to create a new toot with a CW, and quote the original toot under it.
I'm going to write a lot more about this in the coming days but the most important takeaway from my first few days of switching my main development machine to Linux (Pop!_OS 18.04)?

They are considering a #cooperative alternative, where everyone who receives money on the platform would be a member of the Liberapay legal entity, and that all the collected funds would legally belong to that entity instead of to each individual user.
