France: complicated, but no. It‘s more that the left extremists won in the last elections.

Italy: It‘s complicated, more on the right, there are fascist tendencies which aren’t Putin-aligned. And the word has a bit of a different meaning in Italy.

@ninafelwitch @redoak Fascism is rising everywhere, but at least European countries have way more than 2 parties to choose from, and have actual left wing parties on the ballots. Not that they’re winning much these days…
