@interfluidity A true socialist would not be afraid of free speech, though, since culture is just epiphenomenal of economic conditions. So as long as workers own the means of production they can say whatever they like.
@ntnsndr i don't think there's any inconsistently between the claims. i just think they are both equally credible.
@ntnsndr @interfluidity Yeah, I don't think free speech is coupled with socialism at all, positively or negatively. I see both socialists and non-socialists all over the place on free speech. The implication that there should be a correlation between the two rings false to me.
