I think it's nice to go through #introduction to welcome new folks from time to time. Platform-jumping is difficult, but people will stay if they have a reason to.
I think I recall @theaardvark being one of the first people to interact with me, so thanks for that.
@jsbarretto You're welcome dude. I follow the #introduction hashtag because it's nice to meet new people. And welcoming people so they feel like they've made connections early on.
@jsbarretto I've been doing the same as well. Getting started in the Fediverse can be a little confusing, but once people have some basic info on what to do, it's mostly pretty great here. :)
Agreed! I use the Advanced Interface, and have any posts with the tags #introduction or #newhere as a pinned column.
