This book hit me in all the soft places. It made me weep in every chapter.

I was fortunate to be able to see Robin Kimmerer speak live, the summer before my daughter was born, when I was afraid of the crushing despair bringing life into the world, and also struggling to connect with my lost language, lost heritage I hoped to recover for my child. Robin's quiet but powerful courage helped fill my heart. We're lucky to have her speaking to us
