I really have to make a proper #introduction post, and I’m putting it off because I don’t want to blow it. I have one of those hungry minds, curious about nearly everything (typical librarian profile), and I want to know what the #histodons, #scientists, #legalacademics, #writers, #educators, #journalists, #librarians, #informationliteracy, #nypolitics, #books, #psychologists and others are talking about at all times.
PhD dropout (English and American literature), but never lost the orientation.

I stumbled on your post and then looked at your profile. It's a bit remarkable what we have in common. I have advanced degrees in psychology, education (ed psychology & also teacher certif), library & info science, & a BA in Eng & Amer lit. Most of my follows are journalists, lawyers, historians, scientists. I'm a politics junkie, and my sister was neurodivergent. Anyway, pleased to meet you! I'm taking note of your hashtags...

@BobStep I believe you have re-blogs filtered out. My current top chronological posts are all re-blogs from other people. There is probably a setting you need to change.
@Julie The only filter I know I have is a default one that refers to content marked as sensitive ... but I think my host or server or whatever we call them also does some filtering. I'll browse around some more tomorrow. Thank you!
@Julie Nope, nothing is blocking posts that you boosted (reblogged)... after I went off to look at my host /instance /server and came back to your comment I don't see those bars anymore. Oh well, new here.

@Julie That's why I joined Mastodon and CS (in addition to twitter a decade ago), IG, FB, Quora, etc. I want to know what the professionals (in all fields) are talking about at all times.
