I had to wait some minutes, until the sun reached the lighthouse. I like the strong contrast as if the light comes from the tower.

Window in the Sky -
This shadow is from my favourite tree, currently sheltering a fox (I think) but it has housed a family of raccoons in the past. It always seems on its last legs and is almost completely hollow, but still keeps standing there.
Sometimes you can spend a lot of time driving around the area looking for good vantage points from which to capture just the right image. Sometimes you just need to look in your own back yard.

it started with wanting to draw the canoe under some snow. those backgrounds… i seem to underestimate the work they require.
