#parkrun number 176 for me, and it was another good one (for recent values of "good"). It's been six months since I caught covid and I feel like I've got my breathing more under control now. This time it was my calves that were complaining. I guess this is progress?

Finished just under 34 minutes. These days I tend to aim for sub-35 and count that as good.

Short run to get the legs going and to try to tire out Paddy the Irish mutt, since I'm working most of the afternoon and early evening. Boy, do I dislike flat tarmac, even if it was through a forest and the help of System of A Down and their Toxicity album. Finished off with a bit of TRX and Rope Flow.

I think i found a good way to visualize runs and might work even when comparing similar ones, but in the meantime if you want to create a 3d elevation profile of your workout give this a go:

I know that if the track is too long the lap numbers will overlap and there are a ton more improvements that can be done, but it is a start.

Also know that it is hosted on pythonanywhere as a small app, it might crash…

Going to 😴

Easter training at the running club. We did a team challenge (ladder, through a hoop, skipping, over obstacles, through the sandpit and under a stick (at 1.50 m), but all the time holding a spoon with an egg on it 🤣. Dropping the egg meant 2 burpees for the whole team.
After that it was 6x800m at 5.00 /km, 30 secs of rest in between.

Accidental half marathon run today.
Wanted to run about 15km, ended up running further.

Probably not a good idea, the last few kms were a bit of a struggle.

Pretty warm and sunny, at least I had sunglasses and water with me.

That makes 47km for the week 😱
