Secluded river valley overlook in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Souris River of today is a shadow of its former self when it carved this valley with glacial meltwater some 10,000 years ago. It may no longer be a raging torrent but it makes for a nice view.

One minute you're driving through flat farmland then the ground drops away and you're in a different world. Prairies have topography, but it usually goes down instead of up.
