For us older folks, eating is really a challenge. Our systems just seem to always be out of whack. I have annual dr visit, cuz need HBP med renewed. So... I try to be healthy a month or so before. Eat low fat, lots of good stuff, all fresh : lentils, brussels sprouts, broccoli, plain yogurt, avocado, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, you know... and I love all that stuff. Well... Guess what. My blood #potassium was over the limit. Not good. Dr said come back! So, I read up on it, then went on LOW potassium foods, and voila! Next blood test, dropped TWO FULL points. Lawdy, I will actually live. Now I am decimals above LOW potassium. Geeze Louise. None of it is good. I just wish I could eat whatever I want, like I used to. MFG, this whole eating thing has become VERY DIFFICULT.
