Butterfly and the Bee

This photograph captures a serene moment in nature, featuring a butterfly and a bee, both drawn to the delicate blue Mistflowers (Conoclinium coelestinum). Set against the picturesque backdrop of Kisatchie Lake within the Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana, the scene beautifully illustrates the harmonious relationship between pollinators and their environment.

The photographs I share here don’t appear as vivid as they do in my Pixel’s gallery. To make them load more easily, I reduce their size and slightly lower their quality. Take a look:

Good morning. 🌻🌻🌻

19 April 2025

I loved fishing as a kid, and that passion carried into adulthood, though not as much as before. When I was nearing retirement, I considered buying a boat, but after some thought, I realized it would likely be a mistake. I learned that lesson from owning a 10-year-old Harley-Davidson motorcycle that now just takes up space in my garage. In a decade, I only put 10,000 miles on it—averaging 1,000 miles per year, but most of those were likely racked up in the first year. Instead of a boat, I decided to invest in a camera—or rather, cameras. If I had a pond in my backyard, I'd probably fish there, but since I don't, I grab my camera and head outside. Stop me if you've heard this before. 😉
