I heard first thing this morning about Charles Edge's passing. As I was relaying the news to one of our former co-workers at 318, I saw this pic I’d sent from last year's MacAdmins Conference at Penn State.

I'm gonna miss seeing him at conferences, hearing him on the Mac Admins Podcast, and hearing about his next big project.

Year of The Geek · Running audit and remediation on multiple OSes with mSCP and Jamf ProSometime last year, I started working with the gang that created the macOS Security Compliance project. First, if you’re not familiar with the project, head to the link above but I highly recommend Apple’s excellent training page that covers how to use the project. If you manage Macs at scale and have a need to secure them to specific standards (or want to start doing that) this is the project you need to know and learn. This blog will not be covering how to use the mSCP, what I want to share is how to implement your mSCP audit and remediation using Jamf when you have multiple operations systems in your environment as you should not be running the same script for all versions.

Danke für den Hinweis auf die alternative App. Die war mir noch nicht bekannt.

Das sieht nach In-App-Kauf aus. Da wird es in der #MDM #JAMF schwierig. Vielleicht gibt es auch eine Edu-Variante?

Es gibt sicher auch viele Gründe, die FÜR eine digitale Heftführung sprechen. Das mag ich aber gar nicht diskutieren.

Kleiner Nachtrag zu deiner #Datenbank in #Moodle zum Melden von IT-Problemen im Schulhaus:

Ich habe in unserem #JAMF einen #Webclip angelegt, damit erscheint auf den Dienst-#iPad s der Lehrkräfte ein icon mit direktem Link zu der Datenbank in unserem Moodle.

Damit kann man sehr schnell auf Probleme aufmerksam machen, wenn man sowieso auf dem iPad in Moodle angemeldet ist.
