in WA’s northwest, known as Murujuga to traditional owners, contains the world’s largest and oldest collection of petroglyphs."

"Disrupt Burrup Hub claims Woodside’s operations in the area and its proposed expansion could produce billions of tonnes of carbon dioxide by 2070 and damage the ancient artefacts."

Emperor Irene in 798-803 ce was the only female to rule the Holy Roman Empire. She ordered her Emperor son’s eyes gouged out to get the job. She nearly healed the east/west Catholic Church split over iconoclasm (idol worship).

Interesting. Imho, this is a textbook example of "#cancelCulture", yet it is not FRAMED as such (because it was conservative forces doing the cancelling?)

As an art historian myself I am baffled that a prof teaching a class on islamic art is attacked for teaching islamic art - for doing her job.
She obvs even gave ample opportunity to opt out of seeing the artwork in question for those deeming it inappropriate.
Next class should be on the dangers of #iconoclasm.
