Looking through IMDb this has some legendary people as well. Sergio Donati helped write the film and it stars Ida Galli (Evelyn Stewart)!?!?

Last night watched a rather fun spoof giallo from 1970 which starred Lance Percival as a snooty Scotland Yard detective! Over here was called The Weekend Murders, but in Italy it was originally Concerto per pistola solista - Concerto for Solo Pistol!
I'm happy Oz Perkins became a solid #horror director cause I adore Anthony, which makes me think about the fact that Psycho III by Anthony himself is is actually a really well directed film. It's screenplay is salacious and inappropriately comic considering the former film yet weird into examining religion, it is a mess.
But the direction is great. So many scenes are staged with the camera placement and lighting choices of a lot of European cinema including #giallo and it just looks great.

I was rocking light-up eyeball earrings and a fly-based pendant for thematic flair. Which is important for giallo.
You cannot have a good #giallo #movie if you have alligators and refuse them to feed them a human victim. Continuity and third act exposition errors made “College-Girl Murders” a failure.

This film takes a while for its investigation plot to gain traction, but Fulci is doing some masterful work in the meantime setting the tone. The plot deliberately takes its time, with the mysterious killer dispatching children while we get a real sense for the small village in which it is set. That lets the characters really pop -- most notably an effervescent Barbara Bouchet as the cosmopolitan Patrizia but also Florinda Bolkan as the local witch and Tomas Milian
