Die 14. Ausgabe des Carmignac-Fotojournalismuspreises ist der Situation von #Frauen und #Mädchen in #Afghanistan nach der Rückkehr der T#aliban an die Macht im August 2021 gewidmet. Der Preis wurde dem #Reportageprojekt des kanadisch-iranischen #Fotojournalisten-Duos Kiana #Hayeri und der französischen Rechercheurin Mélissa #Cornet verliehen, das über einen Zeitraum von sechs Monaten mit Unterstützung der Fondation Carmignac entstand.

Mit ihrer Serie Promises Written on the Ice, Left in the Sun, die Hayeri ebenfalls in Afghanistan realisierte, wurde die Fotografin bereits 2022 mit dem #Leica Oskar #Barnack #Award ausgezeichnet.
