My new workstation has a German PSU and CPU cooler, Swedish case, South Korean SSD and US memory and CPU. Sadly I assumed Kingston (memory) is not an US company and I didn't have much choice anyway, while there is no alternative for CPU. #buyeuropean

"There is virtually no difference between digital sovereignty and true sovereignty"

In a op-ed published in Le Monde 🇫🇷 (French daily newspaper) this morning, Andy Yen, CEO of Swiss technology company Proton 🇨🇭 argues that Europe's reliance on foreign technology is undermining its sovereignty and economic independence.

He writes:

"Reducing our dependence on American and Chinese technologies is the first step towards regaining our sovereignty. If we require our schools and universities to stop buying American technologies, we will stop tying our children's future to these ecosystems. By stimulating demand for European technologies, we are promoting the creation of well-paid jobs here in Europe. These would be European companies that would pay their taxes in Europe, support our social protection systems, and fill public deficits. It is an investment in our collective future."

This goes beyond a simple boycott. 👀
