Tokyo Tower from Shiba Park.

Was warm and sunny yesterday, with more noisy construction around the apartment, so I went for a little trip to get outside.

I've been to this area before, Tokyo Tower, and Zojoji temple, but never knew there was such a clear and open view of the tower from this park.

Looking towards Tokyo Tower (an Eiffel Tower inspired radio tower, painted orange and white), across a wide park lawn under a clear blue sky. Dozens of park visitors are standing or sitting on picnic blankets around the dry brown lawn, most of them looking towards the tower. Between the park and the tower are trees and low buildings. In the background is Japan's new tallest building as of 2023, the Azabudai Hills Mori JP Tower. A small dog runs across the grass in the foreground carrying a ball.

It's interesting. Mastodon is really shaping how I shoot photos. I think before I was really into big wide expansive views. I think I still am. I have a whole stack of giant #StitchedPanorama like this that I would love to have the budget to just print stupid big some day. But i find myself shooting portrait-orientation more and more, because that style just is more eye-popping when viewed as you are scrolling on mastodon. #photography #LandscapePhotography #Tokyo #panorama #SkyTree #TokyoTower
