Started running a campaign of Tales from the Loop with players experienced with other rules, but new to this.

And I am becoming convinced that the best rule in TftL is, "the land of the Loop is dangerous, but Kids will not die."

Upon reading that, all my players INSTANTLY KNEW what kind of tone the game is trying to achieve. And we had a wonderful, whimsical first session.

Just finished watching Tales From the Loop. Can't believe I didn't know there was a show. But it came out in 2020, so I guess now I understand why...

Any Tales from the Loop players out there? Can we talk about Luck points? I think they're overpowered, or at the very least offer too much protection from pushing a roll ... which is the best mechanic of the game in terms of narrative, IMO. Instead of allowing a total re-roll, what other benefit could result from spending a luck point? Heal a condition maybe? #ttrpg #talesfromtheloop #homebrew #freeleague
