I love the rain and the lightening. I reflect on Lord Thor's mightiness. An untapped supply of energy that mocks us, unable to be capitalized on, unable to be harassed or sold. Yet the very essence that sustains our planet rains down on us free for the taking. It reminds me we are of the planet and should always be humbled by it and servants to it at the pleasure of the Gods. #pagan #environment

[Tarot Review] It’s been a long time since I got my hands on a new tarot deck, and I couldn’t have picked one better than this one. It is a mix of surrealism, classical symbology, and gothic charm. The Incubus Tarot, by Davide Furnò and Charles Harrington, was love at first spread.

The Wild Hunt · Review: The Incubus TarotBy Alan U. Dalul

“What has always been basic to Easter, or resurrection, is crucifixion.

“If you want resurrection, you must have crucifixion.

“Too many interpretations of the Crucifixion have failed to emphasize that relationship and emphasize instead the calamity of the event.

The Pagan Federation Community Support Team has written on Facebook:

"Statement of Support for Trans People from the Pagan Federation

In light of the recent ruling by the UK Supreme Court, which defines "woman" solely in terms of biological sex, the Pagan Federation stands firmly and unequivocally in support of all trans people.

We know that this decision is already causing deep hurt and concern within our community,
and we want to be absolutely clear: trans women are women, trans men are men and all
non-binary genders are valid.
This is not up for debate within the Pagan Federation.

Our values as a faith-based, inclusive organisation are rooted in respect for the divine in all
its forms, and we honour the lived truths of all people. Gender is sacred, fluid, and deeply
personal. The gods and spirits we work with teach us that transformation, identity, and
embodiment are all part of the spiritual path.

We recognise and celebrate the journeys of trans people as just as valid, meaningful, and worthy as any other. The Pagan Federation exists to provide spiritual community, support, and advocacy. That means standing up in moments like these to say: you are welcome here, you are valued, and you are safe with us.

We will continue to create and hold space for trans people in our spaces and our leadership — not in spite of our faith, but because of it.

To all our trans members and friends: we see you, we honour you, and we will always fight
for your rights, your dignity, and your place in our communities.
Sacred is Sacred - In Every Form
Blessings and solidarity,
The Pagan Federation"

I am not a member of the Pagan Federation and I do not live in the UK, but as an agender person (which falls under the nonbinary umbrella), I am glad to read about this support.

We need to be queer-as-f**k in the face of overwhelming oppression. Those of us who feel called to be visible can stand as lights for those trapped in the darkness of their closets. We will meet fear with pride, and a healthy dose of fabulous silliness. Because silly is a superpower.

The Wild Hunt · Divine Subversion as Queer ResistanceBy Storm Faerywolf

Hail Freya, it's Friday! #FridayPaganPoll time!

I cannot state this enough: 'Witch' is not a gendered term. Anyone can be a witch.

Witches come in all genders, let's prove it:

(I only have 4 poll options, please excuse the limited choices)

New research from Ukraine reveals Ice Age hearths showing advanced fire use, suggesting seasonal adaptation and skilled fuel management by early European hunter-gatherers during a time of scarce evidence.

The Wild Hunt · The Sacred Hearth: New Research Reveals Our Ancestors’ Mastery of FireBy Manny Moreno

Gracious Lord
God of the roads
Where travelers walk
Merchants carry their wares to market
And thieves search for their marks

Gracious son of Zeus
Angelic lord of the range
Of the pastures for grazing
The goats on the hills above
And the farmers keeping them

Gracious Hermes
Son of Maia
Thief of the sacred cattle
Creator of the lyre
A gift to the radiant Apollo

Gracious Psychopompos
Leader of the somber parade
Of the shades of those now gone
Down into the Earth
Where Hades and Persephone await
