Free speech advocates are concerned over how expanded social media surveillance could impact asylum seekers, green card and citizenship applicants already living in the U.S. legally.

I've been thinking a lot about online #privacy. While the guides at privacyguides.org/ are amazing, I feel like many folks are deterred from making changes if they can't literally ditch Google and Facebook in a day.

I think it's really important to educate people that #onlineprivacy is a continuum; you can move closer to perfect secrecy little by little.

Basically, small, marginal improvements add up to make a big difference. You probably won't reach the privacy nirvana; but something is better than nothing.
