Latest findings from our #BritishSocialAttitudes survey have been published by Nuffield Trust and The King's Fund.

The latest report, based on data we collected in Autumn 2024, has found that satisfaction with both the NHS and social care has continued to decline. 59% are ‘very’ or ‘quite’ dissatisfied with the NHS, a 7 percentage point rise on the previous year, and 53% of people are ‘very’ or ‘quite’ dissatisfied with social care.

Anyone trust Labour Health Sec “Silly Boy” Wes Streeting’s 2024 election promise *not* to undertake YET ANOTHER top down reorganisation of the NHS?

Me neither!

Nor, more importantly, does Steeeting’s nemesis, Roy Lilley, in his regular NHSManagers.net blogpost!

In fact, our Wes is about to embark on the 23rd major reorganisation in Roy’s lifetime - instead of focusing on cutting waiting lists!

No idea if this is down to the US problem now becoming our problem. Cheers Trump. 🙄But seems health officials are taking it seriously.

This year's GP contract opened the door to negotiating a long term 'substantive' contract with the Department of Health, shaping the new normal of what sustainable general practice should look like.

I'm running for BMA Sessional Committee to get the best deal for sessional GPs in these negotiations.
