Found a TV clip from 1965 of the ending song. I love the horrified expression on the singer’s face when she gets to the chorus and starts describing the black flies.
Envisioning a time loop movie where grown up Johnny is the man in the firefighter mask who scares child Johnny off the fire tower.
All this talk about Johnny has had my mental soundtrack playing snippets of the first verse of Patti Smith’s “Horses”.

Heh, Torso was one of the first giallos I ever watched, back when I first subscribed to Shudder.
I’ve watched In Violent Nature 3 times—it’s a fascinating and funny slasher movie as art film—but I’m exhausted so I’ll watch the host segments later this weekend. Have fun #mutantfam this is a good one if you have the patience for it.
And with Joe Bob's joke, I think I am going to turn in. I did not sleep well last night. I didn't get a nap either. Extra caffeine has it limits. I also want to be up at a reasonable hour to work in the garden a bit if I can.
