I can't skive off work for a long lunch and go do some flying training, because it rained so heavily over the weekend that the grass runway is still waterlogged.

Why is it a grass runway instead of a safer asphalt one? Because the local residents don't want a successful airfield nearby like Weston.

That's the yacht-sailing, retirement-aged local residents, who would need the services of the search-and-rescue helicopter based out of Weston if their retirement sailing goes awry
