I’m glad to get to this finish with this. Working in this size makes it take exponentially longer than normal :/ . Today the weather was getting sunny against earlier forecasts and I could be on location one last time to paint in the shadows. Would have made the rest with fotos otherwise I suppose, since the trees are getting too springy soon.

Plein air Oilpainting of some trees and a row of houses on a slope. It is sunny and there is shadow. 40 x 30 cm oil on panel made life in 4 sessions.

going out to paint this tree. It’s been a struggle, since the weather is very capricious right now, switching from overcast to sunlit in mere seconds. Despite the challenge, I am pleased with aspects of this.
A mother came along with her kids and told me that I was very talented and I should do something with that. Well, I told her that I am painting a picture.

Allaprima Oilpainting made on location of a moss covered tree. The background is kept really rough design wise but the colors are kept quite realistic. 18 x 24 cm made in 3 hours.

Die gestrige Kulturzeit von @3sat hatte folgende Themen:

  • Ein Bericht über die Machtpolitik im Vatikan und warum Franziskus nicht so regieren konnte wie er wohl wollte
  • Ein Caravaggio Ausstellung. Leider in Rom und nicht vor meiner Haustür.
  • Ein unglaublicher Bericht über die Traumatherapeutin Katrin Glatz Brubakk und ihre Arbeit mit Kindern im Gazastreifen.Friedensnobelpreis für diese Frau!
  • Ein Film über dieses leidige Jarrett Konzert in Köln. Ich mag die Platte nicht, will aber den Film sehen.
  • Außerdem gab es in den Tipps einen Kinofilm über den "Bolero".Hui, das ist natürlich ein Muss für mich.
