You can give it away to a charitable organization & deduct the FMV of the #DumpTruck from your taxes BUT if you can't sell it, it's worth NOTHING, so you can't deduct anything from your taxes either but the IRS will probably let you get away w/deducting the KBB value nonetheless.

Only rich guys get tax benefits!!! 😡

The roofers are done for the day. They now need to get Velux windows, slates, and other materials.

In other news I have sprained my left middle finger, second joint. It went 'pop crack' when I was trying to undo the IBC container lid this morning.
Along with arthritis in that finger's knuckle, it has made that finger a bit fragile today.

An old and rusty dump truck. It is a two axle truck, with twin wheels at the rear under the tipper body. The engine is under a narrow bonnet at the front with a black radiator. The driver's seat is a simple bench just behind the engine and the steering wheel is over the top of the bonnet with a columb that goes straight down tot he front axle. It has all the look of a typical tipper dump truck, but is also tiny, about the size of an Austin Mini or a microcar. It is probably a conventional tipper style made small for building site work before the more modern front bucket site dumpers we have now. It is parked on grass at a rally, next to a blue curtain sider artic trailer. It is very cute and has that 1920s 1930s look to it. I don't know the manufacturer or any more info, but I want one.

Dumptruck - Wrecked

This isn't Positively or For The Country…after all, it's not 86/87 any more…but Seth Tiven and (surprise) Kirk Swan are both there, and it still sounds like Dumptruck - guitar squall + kind of folk/country vibes + downcast vocals.

Seems unlikely there'll be more, given Seth's website and the label's website are gone at this point. But it's nice that, in 2018, they were still doing their thing.

Dumptruck - for the country

Dumptruck perfected their sound and approach on this, their 3rd, and effectively last, album.

At this point the two main folks in the band - Seth Tiven and Kirk Swan - had split up, and Tiven took the reins completely. He headed to Wales and made this record. And while other releases would come 10 years later, this is peak Dumptruck. It's pretty great.

Dumptruck - for the country album. A milkweed pod discharges seeds on the right side, while a landscape peeks in at the bottom of the record. The LP itself spins vertically on a Miniot Wheel 2, while other stereo equipment sits on a walnut storage unit.
