thanks to everyone who gave feedback and helped work out this new resolution for the #CoopCloud fedi 💖

https://docs.coopcloud.tech/federation/resolutions/in-progress/029/

Establish Budget 14, to pay for up to 12 hours a month of "radmin" (radical administration) work, to help the federation run smoother, for an initial period of 12 months.

this is a new step for us, establishing a paid role with a mandate to help boost our organising capacity ⚙️

if this passes, we'll be publishing an open call in may (hopefully). we're hoping to spread the open call in networks where this kind of paid remote finance/admin work would be most beneficial. any and all tips are welcome 🫡

(the resolution text might be a bit dense to read because it's intended for fedi members but the open call text will be more general 🙏)

moar proof that #CoopCloud isn't vaporware

KolliCloud is built on top of our config commons, making use of abra and alakazam (command-line tools) to provision and manage free software stacks for associations 🎉

https://vereinscloud-sh.de
which is a rebrand of https://kollicloud.de
initiated by https://local-it.org (CC fedi member)

yes, a regional fire department in germany was using a software running on the co-op cloud stack: https://kollicloud.de/ueber/

(i'm nagging people involved to do a blogpost and share more about what is going on cus it's just wildly inspirational shit imho)

Here comes the second release candidate for the 0.10.x series of `abra` 📢

The goal is to make a final release within 2 weeks pending any critical bugs that we find. Thanks in advance to those who help testing this release candidate 💓

docs.coopcloud.techUpgrade - Co-op Cloud: Docs

Setting up a mail service, I thought I could just use mailu which has #coopcloud support - but it does something mighty weird when you setup a relay host [a service so make delivery actually work to closed email platforms] (it tries to deliver remote email via the relay host) - doh. So I tried setting up mailcow, which has surprisingly worked out amazingly well!

Just figuring out how to customize / add things now.

Autonomic is delighted to announce our radical anti-competitive partnership with collective.tools/ 🤝

We helped migrate collective.tools services from an intricate menagerie of separate VPSs and corporate mail hosting, to an updated, integrated, #CoopCloud deployment – lowering their operating costs and making the stack easier to manage.

If you’re looking for a right-on data/e-mail/forum hoster (and you should be, in these times of intense surveillance capitalism!), and you’d like to be part of an established multistakeholder coöperative, head on over to collective.tools/product/colle
