In February, the Canadian Association of University Teachers published this brief provincial breakdown of funding for post-secondary education. It includes two striking graphs on declining provincial funding vs the growing share paid by tuition. Ontario, where I teach, is obviously the worst of an increasingly bad bunch.

I saw that privileged professor from one of the bastion of Western imperial thuggery aka Ivy League university, claiming his ancestors moved from OG Nazi in 1930s to Empire & now he had to move (thanks to the privilege he has that enables him to make such a move) again to another Western Imperial thuggish regime (Racist settler-colonial Jewish Nazi enabling leaf country), because he feels unsafe, and then listened to his interview.

I realized he is a Shitlib who bullshits about the role Empire's rotten academic institutions always played. Tries to present Empire as a noble thing, bullshit about whats happening now under Nazis to be somehow drastically different from whats done under previous Fhitlib administrations that literally enabled genocides, that participated in & enabled genocides of so many societies around the world, persecuted those who opposed Empire.

The distance between the previous regime in Empire & current regime is one of degree, not kind. Those who tries to make the former somehow better than it actually is, the thing that led to current Nazi take over of Empire, all they are doing is engaging in sophistry. What exists in Empire now is a natural continuation of what existed before, not a clean break from before. Altho current Nazis are proud about their crimes, willing to go few extra miles to showcase their depravity openly, while previous Nazis wanted to & to an extent effectually hid their crimes.

Thanks to his privilege, he moved to a society also actively aids genocide, has institutions that actively assist in suppressing any opposition to Western Imperial genocide, literally joined a group thats apparently funded by far-right in Settler-colonial leaf country. Many in Empire at the bottom most layer, who face the brunt of Empire's thugs dont have the same privilege. If one is in genuine fear for one's physical wellbeing/life, its a different story, but he literally sees previous genocidal regimes not in similar light. Thats the root of the issue.

Putting all of that together, every piece of propaganda mainstream in Empire pushes is either a deception (or) obfuscation (or) a lie.
