Aaron Wolf

Amazing new fully-FLO tool for setting meeting times: starbestfit.com/

Not my project but made by someone who must have been reading my mind, made it exactly as I'd wish (and announcement was to me personally on a closed issue for another project where I was asking for this!)

some features missing still, anyone could help, in Typescript + Rust

starbestfit.comStar FitEnter your preferences to find a time that works for everyone!

Background: WhenIsGood was in own league (way better than Doodle-style) but proprietary. Crabfit is FLO with that better UI but missing some features.

StarFit is a crabfit fork that uses (and this helps show also why STAR is so good (note that ranked voting cannot function for polls with so many options)

Issues are open at GitHub for the missing features still: github.com/drinkablebreeze/sta

@wolftune Hey Aaron, do you remember which closed issue you meant here?

Sometimes it's good to know where a conversation is happening about an idea, when it's as easy to subscribe as on GitHub.

I'm interested in finding other FLOSS tools that support STAR voting.

I've created a local clone, in case the repository disappears again. drinkablebreeze doesn't seem to have much public activity, which is a bit suspect.

Interested in other alternatives. This is interesting:

@yala drinkablebreeze doesn't appear to do much publicly but they checked every darn checklist item for best-practices in FLO development *otherwise*.

This footnote on the Snowdrift wiki summarizes the state of things with STARbestfit: wiki.snowdrift.coop/resources# and it links to various issue tickets

incidentally, Grist is new to me, it looks competitive with other NoCode DB style tools like Baserow, and *maybe* their "open-core" style is less-bad (but still open-core isn't fully FLO)
