This is incredibly dissapointing to hear from David Attenborough.

Net-zero 2050 is not doing our fair share.

It ignores our massive historical responsibility for carbon emissions and leaves millions in the global south facing displacement and death.

@gretathunberg "incredibly disappointing" seems exaggerated; disagreement with or qualifications about the things Attenborough was saying are sensible.

Suggesting that he is ignoring historic responsibilities and overall inequities in the world is intellectually unfair. I'm certain he's well-aware of and shares concerns about these things. He's not some oblivious person who doesn't get it.

Net-zero 2050 might be too-little-too-late, but it's doubtful we'll even get that much progress.
