With the fall of Wire, I have been increasingly relying on @matrixdotorg@twitter.com for my communications.

While E2EE needs to be manually enabled, it still has a better signup process and cross platform support than most alternatives.

@matrix I’m hoping at some point there will be an “e2ee-only” mode. That’ll make it a viable switch for me. Manual leaves too many holes for user error

@trevormeier yeah, we’re working on it. ideally by end of year but that’s coming up fast...

@matrix I’ll watch for when it happens! That’ll be the tipping point I think. If so, maybe around the holidays I’ll be able to start recruiting my non-techie friends!
