>i do not believe there is any such climate catastrophe

It's not a matter of opinion. The impact of Mankind on its environment has been proved time and time again.

> if it's negligible and inconsequential.
Tell that to the poor farmer who is gonna lose his farm due to an ever-expanding drought.
Tell that to the owner of a small condo on the coast.
At the end of the day you are allowing an attack on private property by rich fucks :/

@augustus
Sure it makes sense if you ignore all the scientific data that we've got on the subject and the whole consensus about climate change. Don't let your judgment be blinded by ideologies :blobnervous:
@richdecibels

@augustus @richdecibels > you are already giving away your commie intentions with your final comment
ahah yes private property = communism

@augustus
>oceanic iron fertilisation.

Worst idea ever. It may be effective to capture CO2 but it also provokes a localized extinction of all living creatures where it has been done :/

At the end of the day state intervention may be ugly but a necessary evil. A high enough CO2 taxe could do the trick. But the consumers themselves also have to adapt their behavior and reject things like air travel, meat und consumerism.

>neoliberal wanting more government control over the economy.

Do you even know what liberalism or neoliberalism is ?
@augustus @richdecibels I agree with you but its first definition is 100% the oppoqite of what you said.

"Neoliberalism or neo-liberalism is the 20th-century resurgence of 19th-century ideas associated with laissez-faire economic liberalism and free market capitalism"

@richdecibels Get someone to tell you the history of the Kinning Park Complex while you're there, you'll like it.
