remote study day for our school system tomorrow because too many staff are out sick.
they still think we'll be back in person on Wednesday after the MLK Day break... i'll believe it when String Bean is out the car and in the building

apparently about 1/8 of the students at our elementary school were out sick yesterday. 6 confirmed student cases, 4 staff cases, and dozens of kids home sick with no word on whether it's covid (including ours ofc).
last i looked, the case rate and the positive test rate are both still climbing here. maybe if we really do get dumped on by this storm, it'll pump the brakes.
