@clew It was in an art exhibition surrounded by pages of a Soviet-era book discussing vegetables, so there might have been an ulterior motive to the cabbage.
@neil I like cabbage, but it’s a sturdy plant for much of its range so I’m not used to seeing it in greenhouses. But the Netherlands are growing potatoes in greenhouses. The payoff in nutrition, rather than money, might be excellent!
Or the cultural reference, or the nutritional payoff explains the cultural touchstone. Anyway, neat.
@neil the peoples' history museum is fantastic!
@caribou Brilliant isn't it! I always go whenever I'm near Manchester. They had a really great exhibition of Paul Peter Piech last year which was amazing. That Spinningfields area seems to be getting a bit full of bank offices and chain fast food stores, but PHM is a real diamond in the rough.
@neil Where is the farmbot?
@penguin42 It's tucked away at the back of this exhibition at HOME: https://homemcr.org/exhibition/the-return-of-memory/
@neil still startled that intensive automated agriculture is being used for cabbage.
