I wonder if it's like an Autistic Thing to obsessively spend waaaaay more energy thinking about others who you believe are/were/should be close to you, than those others ever spend thinking about you.

it's so weird how when I'm at a local peak in distress about one thing or another, often some possible change in the situation is lurking right nearby.

(even though i've missed too many days of practice in the past couple weeks, I feel compelled to point out that consistent meditation is a great help in recognizing & taking these opportunities.)

It's quite a thing to be confronted over & over with evidence that there is nobody in your life with whom you can truly have a conversation about whole vast swaths of your lived experience as a human being.

Signs and symptoms of burnout.

This is suuuuper common in #infosec (more than in most other fields), but we’re only now starting to talking about it.
