Good morning from #Minneapolis, where the weather reading is

"Light Snow Fog/Mist"

and it's 32 degrees.

Visibility is 3 miles at the airport.

Snow is falling from the back yard white pine, hitting the roof like clods of wet cement.

"For now, keep an eye on the forecast for the end of the week as even if we only end up with the GEFS mean snowfall, combined with what fell today would push us over the edge for top 10 snowiest years on record for the Twin Cities."

and in this snowy, soggy weather, another encampment formed by people displaced from destroyed encampments (formed by people displaced by other destroyed encampments…) was told by police this morning that they would be evicted today.

No written notice. False warnings have been given before.

Cops said they don't need a written notice or notice at all to evict from private property. (They have also said the same about public property.)

Is everyone in this city really OK with violent force being used against people—for any reason, let alone to deny the human right to shelter—without even a court ruling?

under is a cruel, harmful, violent place.

(The only court case associated with the hundreds of instances of destroying people's place to live and personal property is the lawsuit by ACLU-MN and Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid which a judge found had enough merits to proceed, but tragically never issued an injunction against ' immoral and likely illegal actions that have continued during these brutal two years.)
